To me, it shows maturity, the fact that you don’t let your history get in between your friendship. The fact that you’re both mature enough to understand that just because it didn’t work between the both of you, that you both can still create lasting memories without still being a couple.
People today, don’t want to be friends with their ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend because of those “awkward” moments. But to me, it’s only awkward if you make it that way.
